Background

Audio was a Brighton-based bar and nightclub which had been a landmark venue on the seafront for over 30 years. After an initial approach to create some promotional materials for an event, I ended up handling the majority of the visual output for a period of about 2 years until the venue was sold in 2015.


Approach

I was tasked with creating a cohesive aesthetic in order to promote big name club DJs, exciting new talent, and the crafted cocktails on offer in the bar. Fortunately, I was given a great deal of creative freedom resulting in a surreal visual approach, paired with considered typography as part of a wider graphic system.
