Background

I was contacted by the team behind the critically acclaimed Late Night Tales compilation series to produce the artwork for their first artist release: Rae & Christian’s third studio album, ‘Mercury Rising’.

Approach

The brief was open, but the band provided a selection of bubble photography which Steve Christian had been experimenting with. I treated and cropped sections of a single bubble, resulting in abstract waveforms which were used to create the entire campaign.

I also created a logotype for NightTimeStories, the new label imprint which the album, and future albums would be released on.
